You got some good advice. That was a heartening tale with a great play-by-play. And, you had the vernacular down. You must have some experience with rodeo to be so detailed and correct about it.

I saw two things that you might want to change. I learned just recently that thoughts, like Eli’s couple of times, are best presented in italics. And, for the slang of you, I always use ya. That’s the first time I’ve seen it presented as y’.
